On the 22nd August, Theme Park will release their first single ‘A Mountain We Love’ with a double A side of ‘Wax’. ‘A Mountain We Love’ is a vibrant, heart warming pop song which I don’t see how anyone couldn’t like it it. It’s lovely. The combination of jangley guitars and pleasant vocals are delicious and the song is a perfect mood lifter.

‘Wax’ is quite contrasting to ‘A Mountain We Love’ which is nice; who would want to buy two singles together which are in identical styles? It’s a little slower and more eighties-esque. Despite being slower, the chorus is still just as strong and catchy with the lyrics “We got the love, we got the night, we got the time, we got the fight” continuing to whirl around your brain for long after the song has finished.

 

This is a promising debut single from Theme Park and I’m very much looking forward to seeing what they offer us next.
