The band who were responsible for Weathervanes, one of my favourite albums of 2010 are back. YAY! It’s a mellow and percussion filled relaxed number entitled ’Locked Out’ which is 100% a natural progression from the similar, minimal material found on their debut. It much less fragile than songs such as ‘Starring’ , ‘We Could Be Friends’ and ‘Ghosting’ and a lot more uplifting, there’s much more of a confidence not only textually but within the lyrics.  ”We have the rations to go anywhere” croons front man, Judah.  It’s also fortunately a free download on their website   so you can listen to it whenever you like.

Watch the ‘visualizer’ below which was done by Judah Dadone and Jono Chanin from the band.

‘Locked Out’ is taken from Freelance Whales’ second album, Diluvia, which is out on the 9th October on Mom+Pop Music and Frenchkiss Records.
