New Music // The Wytches – ‘Wastybois’

the wytches

Gnarly Brighton three piece, The Wytches have shared their new track ‘Wastybois’ from their new EP ‘Thunder Lizard’s Reprieve’, the first release since their debut album  Annabelle Dream Reader in 2014.

This track is less of a doom rock / garage mash up and more of a hardcore punk track. Guitars are still fuzzed out to the max whilst Kristian Bell’s distinctive, cracked vocals are a rapid driving force with that much fuzz even on them that it’s pretty difficult hear the lyrics through all of the distortion. Once the speedy hardcore break down is over, things slow down again into a riff based ’70s metal ending with fragile, distant vocals.

You can listen to ‘Wastybois’ over on Consequence of Sound here.
