New Music // Tear – ‘Begging’

Formed of ex members of London riot punk Throwing Up, Tear have unveiled their debut track which will be released on Tim Burgess’ O’ Genesis label.

Immediately reminiscent of ‘Stories From The Cities, Stories From The Sea’ era PJ Harvey, with ‘Live Through This’ era Hole guitars, this is a strong ’90s tinged track.

Camille Bennett’s powerful vocals are far removed from the raucous, unhinged (but equally as loveable) screams that can be found on a Throwing Up’s ‘Over You.’ This is a more sophisticated, sexy sounding music – a riot girl grown up. The prospect of what’s next from Tear is extremely exciting. Listen to ‘Begging’ over on Louder Than War.  It will be released on 25th September.
