Atmospheric, female fronted, electronic art pop band Alpines are set to release their début EP on Monday entitled Night Drive. They are a band who despite seemly to only have received good press so far, remain pretty conspicuous in a refreshingly mysterious way, in a world where artists are continuously updating the interweb on their recent antics via social media platforms. The band successfully create blissful electronic sound waves which don’t fail to urge the listener into a relaxed state of zen whilst the lyrics tickle their ears, brain and heart. Alpines appear to be a naturally developed (nothing seems forced), yet wonderfully minimalistic band. I expect great things from them in the future, everything I’ve heard from them so far has been beautiful.
Here’s the beautiful video for ‘Ice and Arrows’ from the Night Drive EP , directed by Kate Moross and Hans Lo:
‘Night Drive EP’ is out on Monday the 28th March on Polydor Records.
